Ceiling air-conditioning systems represent an innovative alternative to conventional air-conditioning systems.

Advantages of Ceiling Cooling Systems

  • Unlike traditional air-conditioning solutions, which blow cool air from a localized source, Ceilingo's ceiling-mounted air-conditioning systems ensure optimum temperature distribution throughout your home.
  • Ceiling cooling systems offer far greater temperature reduction than hydraulic cooling ceilings. Thanks to Ceilingo technology, a ceiling temperature of 7°C can be achieved without generating a dew point.

Two methods of ceiling cooling

There are two main ways to cool your home via the ceiling: gravity cooling and absorption of body heat.

Gravity cooling

The first method involves blowing cooled air over a perforated stretch ceiling.

Cold air, being denser than warm air, descends naturally and spreads over the entire surface of the fabric.

Cooling by absorbing body heat

The second method uses the principle of body heat absorption.

In this case, cold air is distributed over a plasterboard or stretch ceiling.

The radiation from the hot masses and bodies is then absorbed by the ceiling, whose surface is cooler.

The result is a more even temperature distribution and a more natural feeling of freshness.

eClim 360: Optimizing heat pumps for reduced energy consumption

Reducing the impact of energy consumption is one of our core concerns.

That's why eClim 360 has been designed to require less electrical power for cooling.

Thanks to a natural "expansion" effect of the air diffused in the plenum, the air temperature is suddenly lowered.

For example, in a cinema equipped with our system, the air introduced above the ceiling enters at a temperature of 20.10°C and leaves at 14.40°C, i.e. almost 6°C cooler, without using any mechanical energy.

A Ceilingo cooling ceiling is considered to lower the temperature of an air-conditioning unit by 3°C.

Hydraulic cooling ceilings can't compete, as they use water, which is incompressible by nature.

The eClim 360 solution is designed to recover thermal energy from false ceilings, whether plasterboard or stretch fabric.

This innovative system absorbs thermal energy and then reinjects it, or evacuates it from the home, using the principle of infrared radiation: a cold body attracts heat from a warm body.

eClim 360 in Winter: Optimal Comfort and Energy Savings

In winter, the warm air produced by human activity or household appliances rises to the ceiling.

The ceiling is charged with heat, which is released above in the form of infrared light.

This heat light will reflect off a reflective insulator, like a mirror, to be dissipated throughout the plenum(technical space located between the ceiling and the insulator).

The result:

  1. Optimum comfort from floor to ceiling: the temperature is uniform across all surfaces,
  2. The false ceiling converts convection, a source of discomfort, into radiation, a source of comfort.

eClim 360 in Summer: Preserved coolness and thermal comfort

In summer, coolness is preserved thanks to an optimized insulation level based on the combination of three essential parameters: thickness, density and reflection.

If, despite everything, the rooms in the home overheat, a Canadian well, a Provençal well, a heat pump, a thermodynamic ventilation system, or a double-flow ventilation system will provide the desired coolness.

Unlike conventional air-conditioning solutions, which bring in cold air directly from a point via an insufflation port, the eClim principle makes the most of false ceilings to dissipate this coolness over the entire surface, thus spreading the source of comfort.

Result:

  1. Elimination of cold and hot spots,
  2. The false ceiling absorbs the excess heat accumulated by our skin and cools us down.

The eClim 360 solution can be coupled with a thermo-dynamic double-flux CMV,

a conventional air-conditioning system, or a double-flow CMV,
